My Nana Alice spent her younger days working in a woollen mill in Yorkshire as a winder on the bobbins section, she cycled 12 miles to work to do a 15 hour shift. Nana Alice recounted memories of a hard working environment, but managed to find moments of fun and laughter on the bobbins line. Alice passed on her appreciation of wool, and the products of our Yorkshire heritage that has stayed with me. Shuttles and Bobbins was born. Our goal is to bring authentic woollen products to your home. We only sell the best quality lambs wool and pure new wool, traditional patterns and colours which make up the cosiest throws and blankets. Shuttles and Bobbins are proud to play a part in keeping our Yorkshire woollen machines clattering and local folk working hard, laughing loudly and wrapping up warm in their blankets just as Alice did all those years ago.
